MBG Launches Interactive Map to Highlight Local Companies

Madison Business Gateway has added a map, using Google Maps, to showcase a number of businesses that are located and thrive in the community. The map pinpoints each company and by rolling over and clicking on each highlighted location, viewers can pull up a listing complete with photo and view video interviews with several companies that discuss who they are and why they like doing business in Madison.

The Web is one of the top tools businesses use to find information about communities they could relocate in or expand to. "We wanted to bring the local business community to life - to give those companies that might be considering Madison a better sense of who we are," noted Norman Dean, Madison's town manager. "Plus, it's one thing to hear how great a place is from local officials, but its another to have members of the business community share their own thoughts."

Currently, three local establishments are featured in video segments, Madison Electric Works, Madison Mattress and Furniture and Lakewood Theater.
